Coach Malayter
I discovered my passion for powerlifting in 2020, and since then have progressed from novice to elite levels, earning podium finishes at multiple National Championships and other highly competitive meets. Along the way, I have served not only as an athlete but also as a coach, referee, and meet director, drawing on these diverse experiences to support, guide, and empower other lifters in their own strength journeys.
Powerlifting offers valuable lessons about resilience, discipline, and personal growth. I am deeply committed to mentoring others in the sport, whether they are developing as athletes or as coaches. In my role as Assistant Powerlifting Director, I have the privilege of mentoring the Team 5W coaching staff and providing ongoing professional development to ensure we deliver the highest-quality, evidence-based coaching services.
At this time, I am not accepting individual clients, but I invite you to reach out if you’d like to discuss which of our team’s coaches might be the right fit to support you on your strength journey.

Coach Le
As a competitive powerlifter, you can always find me training for many upcoming powerlifting competitions whether it’s at the national or local level.
However, as a coach, I pride myself on building a tremendous coach-to-athlete relationship, and as a result, any athlete on my roster will be treated the same no matter the skill level.
As a coach, I will be able to provide proper communication with an athlete and will be able to provide a structured environment for the athlete to succeed.
Lastly, whether you are considering signing up for your first meet, or looking to challenge other lifters at nationals you will find the same drive and passion for your goals returned from me.

Coach Mohd-Zamri
I started powerlifting in the fall of 2018 as a member of the University of Texas Powerlifting Team, and it quickly became a cornerstone in my life. Since then, I’ve competed at a national level in highly competitive meets and developed a deep appreciation for the strength, discipline, and community that the sport fosters.
When I first started, I noticed there were barely any women coaching in powerlifting — and that stuck with me. In 2021, I began coaching with the goal of becoming the kind of coach I wish I had when I was starting out: someone other women could look up to, learn from, and feel seen by in a male-dominated space.
While I’m currently rehabbing from scoliosis and a herniated disc, I remain fully committed to the sport through coaching. This journey has deepened my understanding of sustainable training, long-term athlete development, and what it means to adapt with purpose.
As a coach with Team 5W, I work with lifters of all levels to build strength with intention and evidence-based programming. I’m currently accepting powerlifting clients and would love to support you in reaching your goals — whether you’re stepping onto the platform for the first time or aiming to compete at a higher level.
Feel free to reach out — I’d be honored to be part of your journey.

Coach Burns
My powerlifting journey began in 2022 when I transitioned from football. Initially, my passion for powerlifting was fueled by my love for the squat, bench press, and deadlift. Over time, this evolved into a deep appreciation for the sport’s competitive yet supportive environment.
As a coach with Team 5W, I am committed to providing athletes with the highest quality of service while drawing on the invaluable life lessons that powerlifting has taught me.

Coach Jones
As a Powerlifting Coach, I approach every aspect of the sport with meticulous attention to detail, whether it’s refining lifting techniques or ensuring that every workout has a clear purpose. My analytical approach leaves no stone unturned in the pursuit of optimal performance.
As a Biomedical Engineering student, I understand the challenges of balancing school, work, and gym life. I enjoy working with fellow students who are navigating similar paths. Whether you're a lifter looking to maximize your competitive powerlifting experience or a student eager to explore a new hobby, I look forward to getting to know you both in and out of the gym.
